The coldest night of the year couldn't stop Allmar Surprise from winning her second straight victory at Dover Downs on Thursday, winning the $15,500 feature trot.

Trainer-driver Vic Kirby, who bought the Angus Hall-Benita Victory 4-year-old mare with Matt Ivory in late November, rated the $15,500 feature race well winning by two lengths. Letmetellusumthin (Corey Callahan) was second best with Tonight Aas (Tony Morgan) getting show money in the field of nine.

In the top pace on the card, Gee Stables' Itchy and Vince Copeland scored a 1:54 victory in a $12,500 pace. Racing Naked (Morgan) was a close-up second. Crystal Art (Jim Morand) was third.

Callahan had a driving triple while three others made two appearances in the winner's circle: Morgan, Vic Kirby and Copeland. (Dover Downs)
