Saratoga Springs, NY --- Young trotter Ulster (Glidemaster) parlayed the pocket ride to victory for leading driver Billy Dobson on Tuesday night at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.
The 3-year-old Ulster inherited the rail after a scratch of one of his rivals and wound up getting a two hole trip behind LG’s Pride (Jordan Derue) who was making his local debut.
Ulster sailed by in the stretch to record a lifetime best win in 1:59.2 in the evening’s $6,500 featured race. LG’s Pride was the race’s runner-up while Master Act (Stephane Bouchard) came on to finish third.
Ulster, who is trained by Joe Facin Jr., went off at odds of 9-2.
