Heston Blue Chip Moves to Pennsylvania for 2019

Thursday, November 01, 2018  By: Elizabeth Cheesman

Winbak Farm is proud to announce that Heston Blue Chip will stand at Nandi Farm in Pennsylvania for the 2019 season.

Heston Blue Chip was the winner of the USHWA Dan Patch Award for Three Year Old Pacing Colts against a tough crop that included A Rocknroll Dance, Bettor's Edge, Michael's Power, Sweet Lou & Thinking Out Loud.

At 3, Heston was the Winner of the Breeders Crown elimination & Final (1:49.2). As the Favorite in the Final, he beat Bettor's Edge, Michael's Power, Sweet Lou & Thinking Out Loud.

His three year old accolades also include winning the Cane Pace elimination, Empire Breeders Classic elimination & Final (1:48.4), Historic (1:49.2), Matron Final (lifetime best 1:48), Meadowlands Pace elimination, 4 New York Sire Stakes legs, Progress Pace elimination (1:49.3, last quarter 26.3) and Final (1:49).

Heston Blue Chip set track-records & divisional-records at Tioga Downs of 1:49.2 and 1:48.4, and Dover Downs where he earned his lifetime best of 1:48.

“Heston had a great attitude. He wanted to win at high speeds and usually that transfers to a stallion’s offspring,” said Tim Tetrick, driver.

From a limited 1st crop of 27, Heston Blue Chip sired 2-year-old standout, Zero Tolerance, p, 2, 1:51 -'18 ($392,891). Zero Tolerance won multiple Stakes races including Bluegrass Series division, 2 New York Sire Stakes legs, Reynolds Memorial division and Tompkins-Geers Stake division. She also finished a sharp 2nd place in the Breeders Crown Final.

Bred for success, Heston Blue Chip is sired by proven sire of stakes-winners, American Ideal, and is a full-brother to Sunfire Blue Chip, p, 3, 1:48.3f ($1,476,940). His dam’s pedigree includes 2018 Stakes Winner, Kissin In The Sand, p, 3, 1:47.4 -'18 ($1,076,670) and proven sires such as Rockin Image, p, 3, 1:48.2 ($900,541), Rockin Amadeus, p, 1:48.4f  ($723,998), and Tellitlikeitis, p, 3, 1:48.4s ($490,695).

Heston Blue Chip will stand for $6,000 in 2019.
