Harrington, DE --- Seven $20,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund for 2-year-old pacers were contested on Monday (Oct. 10) at Harrington Raceway.

There were four filly divisions, which were carded first on the program. Badlands Racing and Leblanc Racing’s No Picnic ($2.80, Ross Wolfenden) overcame post seven for her dominant win in the first division in 1:57.4. A daughter of Badlands Hanover-Michiko, she was a front end winner for trainer Steve Leblanc.

Ed Walls’ Designer Bags ($2.60, Allan Davis) used a well-timed surge in the final strides to prevail in her division in 1:58.3 for trainer David Rearic. The winner is by Roddy’s Bags Again-Alyshima.

Thomas Richardson’s Sheza Bad Machine ($4.00, Jim Morand) made up about four lengths in the stretch to win the third division in 2:00.2. The Badlands Hanover-Shezapacingmachine filly is trained by her owner.

Preston Burris and David Hanauer’s Genie’s Genie ($25.80, Tony Morgan) was an upset winner in 1:59 in the fourth division for trainer Lorie Davis. The Badlands Hanover-Backslash filly reeled in favorite Triple Wire in the stretch for her first career win.

Meanwhile, longshot Te’s Radar ($77, Victor Kirby) won the first colt division for owners Norwood and Evelyn Shahan in a time of 1:57. Trained by Valerie Warnick, the Roddy’s Bags Again-Te's Specialty gelding cleared favorite Majorly Bad up the backstretch and prevailed impressively.

Gary and Barbara Iles’ Shaving Mug ($3.60, Montrell Teague) was the fastest divisional winner with a 1:56 victory. The Badlands Hanover-Pocket Comb gelding set all the fractions in his three length triumph for trainer George Teague, Jr.

In the final division, Triple S Stables’ Lady’s Bag Man ($3.00, Corey Callahan) controlled the tempo and scored a 1:57.4 victory for trainer Mike Simon, Jr. The winner is by Roddy’s Bags Again-Lady St James.
