Friday, May 08, 2009  By: Leigh Nichol, for Winbak Farm

Chesapeake City, MD --- Angus Hall, the number one sire in the Ontario Sire Stakes program in 2008, is booked full and closed for the 2009 breeding season.

Angus Hall, out of the Hall of Fame mare Amour Angus, as well as the full brother to both Andover Hall and Conway Hall, was the second leading moneywinning trotting sire in North America for 2008.

In 2008 Peaceful Way, the triple millionaire mare by Angus Hall, was inducted into the Hall of Fame; Elusive Desire, a filly by Angus Hall, won the 2008 O’Brien Award as 2-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year; Stonebridge Diva, a filly by Angus Hall, won the Ontario Sire Stakes Gold Final at Kawartha and the Champlain; and Winning Mister, a colt by Angus Hall, won the Ontario Sire Stakes Gold Final at Mohawk.

Angus Hall’s progeny has earned more than $38 million, with two millionaires and six more making over $500,000.
