Dover, DE — American Nitro and All About Lynx established new lifetime marks in their respective first-round Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund events for 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings — each carrying a purse of $20,000 — on Thursday (Dec. 3) at Dover Downs.

 

American Nitro nosed out Elite Retreat to earn a lifetime mark of 1:53.3 in the first division. Leonard’s Legacy was third. Victor Kirby drove the Badlands Nitro-Jet America gelding, who has now earned $170,230, for trainer Les Givens and the partnership of Henry Faragalli III, Arthur Feeney, Daniel Done and Nanticoke Racing.

 

In the second division, All About Lynx achieved a new career best of 1:52.4 in line to Montrell Teague, defeating Harrington DSBF final winner Apple Valley Art and Aidan. Clyde Francis trains the Southwind Lynx-All About Tonight gelding for owners and breeders George Teague Jr. Inc. and K & R Racing LLC.

 

The second preliminary round for 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings is scheduled for next Thursday (Dec. 10).
