Dover, DE — Two-year-old trotters opened the Tuesday (Nov. 10) card at Dover Downs with two non-wagering Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund events for colts and geldings. The fillies followed in both halves of the daily double on the regular card. All purses were $20,000.

 

The first non-wagering event went to Rhett (Keystone Activator-Lake Serena) in a new lifetime record of 1:57.4 for driver Tony Morgan. He is owned and trained and was bred by 90-year-old Don Wiest, and co-owned with his son, David. Blue Devil was second; Malachi’s Test was third.


The second non-wagering event went to the Harrington final winner, Big Al M (Anders Bluestone-Bringing Up Lindy) in a new lifetime record of 1:58.1 for driver Eddie Davis Jr., trainer Eric Davis, and owner-breeder Bobby Myers of Greenwood. Altar Call followed 10 lengths back in second with Bluestone Jackson in the show spot.


On the regular card, Whitesville Beulah (Anders Bluestone-Whitesville Tara) scored her maiden win in 2:01.4 for driver David Hill and owner-trainer-breeder Gary White. Harrington final winner Kim’s Command finished second with Toni Lee third.


The second half of the daily double was all Jazzy Judy (Political Briefing-Giant Smash) and driver Anthony MacDonald in a new lifetime record of 2:02 for trainer Jim King Jr. She is owned by The Stable Jazzy Judy Group of Guelph, Ont., and was bred by Winbak Farm. Reality was second and Annalee was third.


The 2-year-old pacing fillies compete in their first DSBF leg on Wednesday (Nov. 11). Post time is 4:30 p.m.
