It has been announced that purses are going up at Monticello Raceway.

 

The track’s race secretary, Eric Warner, announced on Tuesday, February 18 that Monticello purses have been increased 15 per cent on this week’s condition sheet.

 

Warner has stated that the track is hopeful that the increase will attract more horses.

 

Monticello also stated that, in addition to the purse increase, the track has also altered some conditions to reflect the purse increase.

 

The increase will go into effect for horses racing on Monday, February 24.
