On Sunday, February 9th, Winbak Farm of Ontario held an open house and stallion showcase. It is estimated that close to 300 people were in attendance.


The attendees were able to meet and visit Winbak Farm’s 11 current stallions, listen to live interviews of industry experts and wish a happy retirement to newly retired Angus Hall. There was both a food truck and an ice cream truck provided by Jimmy Freight.


There were close to 30 prizes given away including a free breeding to Stag Party, dinner for 2 from Grand River Raceway, dinner for 4 from Woodbine Mohawk, a $3,750 breeding to Archangel from Alan Hainsworth, multiple $25 Betting Vouchers from Central Ontario Standardbred Association, a horse cooler from Thrive Equine, a dog bed and a bird feeder from Budson’s Farm and Feed Company, 2 tickets to the Canadian Horse Racing Hall Of Fame Induction Gala, soap from Paul Kleinpaste, multiple $100 Greenhawk Gift cards from Brook Ledge Transport and an Omega Alpha prize pack ($200 value). Hats and swag bags were given out from Trot, Ontario Sire Stakes, Ontario Racing and Woodbine Mohawk. Jimmy Freight (courtesy of his owner Adriano Sorella) donated a Mac book air, 3 32” Toshiba televisions, Samsung surround sound system, retro Atari gaming console, retro genesis gaming console and a fire tablet.
