Winbak Farm of Ontario is pleased to announce that Stag Party will be standing his first year at the farm in 2020.

“Stag Party is a familiar name in Ontario that has the pedigree and record to make him a strong contender in the Ontario breeding program,” said Pat Woods, WInbak Farm of Ontario Manager.

Stag Party, p, 2, 1:50.4s -'18 ($952,395), was the 2018 O’Brien Award Winner for 2-year-old pacing colts.

“Stag Party is a gorgeous Bettor’s Delight colt that has very good size,” said Casie Coleman, Trainer. “He sold for $125,000 as a yearling at Harrisburg and he was the third highest Bettor’s Delight colt sold in 2017.”

Stag Party’s 2nd dam is Economic Clout, p, 3, T1:51.1 ($369,247). Stag Party’s dam is a full-sister to Twist N Clout, p, 2, 1:53.2 ($564,484).

“This colt is very, very well bred,” said Coleman. “He is smart with the perfect gait.”

At 2, Stag Party won the Metro Pace elimination and Final. He won the elimination in 1:51 and the Final in his lifetime best of 1:50.4.

“Stag Party going first over in the Metro Pace and then winning by pulling away by 4 lengths was unheard of,” said Coleman.

He also won a Nassagaweya Stakes division and 2 Ontario Sire Stakes Gold legs.

“He was great on any size track,” said Coleman. “His 1:52.3 mile to win the Ontario Sire Stakes Gold leg at Grand River at 2 was unheard of.”

Stag Party competed and won against the best of his crop including Bettor’s Wish, Semi Tough and Shake That House.

“He came to his speed very early at 2,” said David Miller, driver. “He was a very fast and handy horse.”

Stag Party will stand for $4,000 CAD or $3,000 US. Please call Pat Woods at 905.838.2145 or email him at pat.woods@winbakfarm.com for booking information.

“Stag Party had the speed needed to make money,” said Woods “As a Bettor’s Delight, his offspring should perform well, I am confident they will be tough racehorses.”

“When I first watched Stag Party race I was very impressed and I thought he was the whole package,” said Eric Cherry, co-owner. “The fact that he earned $950,000 proved that is true. I will be breeding nice mares to him and I’m looking forward to seeing his first crop on the track.”
