g>Harrington, DE — Henry Faragalli III, Arthur Feeney, Bay Pond Racing and Bonnuccelli Racing’s Bag Of Jewels completed a sweep of her Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) $20,000 preliminaries with a 1:58 triumph on Tuesday (Sept. 24) at Harrington Raceway.


The Roddy’s Bags Again filly held off a game Spin Sumthin to the wire for a narrow win. Dragon My Fannie was third. It was the third win in five career starts for the Les Givens trainee.


The top eight point earners will return to compete in the $100,000 final on Oct. 2 in conjunction with three other DSBF finals as well as $15,000 consolation events.


Legacy Racing of Delaware’s Cinder Rock ($4.80, Allan Davis) easily won the first division in 1:59.1. The Rockabillie filly set all the fractions from post position five and was a dominant winner over Sprinkles On Top and Alexa Play. It was the second career start for Cinder Rock for trainer Wayne Givens.


A new track record was set in the overnight feature, the $20,000 Mares Open. Jamie’s Renegade ($8.80, Russell Foster) set a new mark for 4-year-old mares with an impressive 1:51.2 triumph over Artrageous and Bettorhaveanother.


The Pacific Renegade mare pulled first-over and blew by the field near three-quarters and opened up effortlessly on the field for her 10th career win. Jamie’s Renegade is owned by Deborah and Jamie Bozman and trained by Walter Bozman Jr.

 

Tony Morgan and Mike Cole each had three wins on the card.
