Ernest Hartman’s Perec ($3, Corey Callahan) and Ben Stafford and Winbak Farm’s Badlands Jenna ($3.20, Ben Stafford Jr.) won their respective $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) eliminations for 3-year-old pacing fillies Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.

The Dawn Dellarporte-trained Perec is making up for lost time as she made just her second career start and improved 2-for-2 lifetime with a sizzling 1:54.3 dominant performance. The Badlands Hanover filly pulled first over and cleared Stash the Cash approaching three quarters and never looked back in her decisive score. Stash the Cash was second while Sarah Barracuda finished third. In the second division, Badlands Jenna was a wire-to-wire winner over Allie Oakley and Winsmith Jess. Also sired by Badlands Hanover, ‘Jenna’ is looking to continue her dominance in the Delaware breeding program which has helped her start her career with 14 wins in 19 starts. The second leg of DSBF action will be contested next week, while the $100,000 finals for all divisions will take place on July 28.

In the overnight feature, Ksj Stable's Perfect M Forever (Callahan) took the Mares Open in 1:53.2. It was one of four driving wins for Callahan on the card. (Harrington)
