g>Dover, DE – On the eve of the Twin River merger, the fillies paced swiftly around the oval in two $20,000 divisions for the second leg of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund Series, one early as a non-wagering event and the second as the second half of the daily double.

In the non-wagering event, The Lady Sheriff (Southwind Lynx-Sheriff Sale) prevailed by a neck in a new lifetime record of 1:54 for trainer Clyde Francis and driver and owner Montrell Teague. Montrell’s dad, George and K & R Racing LLC are the other partners. Roddys At It Again (Roddy’s Bags Again-Terro Franco N) came in second and Biggiessecondshot (No Spin Zone-Big Dollar) completed the trifecta.

In the second race, In And Out Again (Roddy’s Bags Again-Outahere Hanover) pulled away by two lengths in a new lifetime mark of 1:53.1 for trainer/breeder/owner Jason Skinner and his dad and partner J Tim Skinner. He was driven by the meet’s leading driver Tim Tetrick. Second was a winner from last week, Vistamista (Powerful Mist-Yankee Vista), followed by Maggnifispin (No Spin Zone-Paradusho N).

The first eight points leaders will return next Wednesday (April 3) for the $100,000 final. Post time at Dover Downs is 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
