Bags To Riches turned a two-hole trip into a mild upset over the previously undefeated Henry The Dragon in Thursday’s $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund at Dover Downs.

With Tim Tetrick at the controls, Bags To Riches tagged along behind race favourite Henry The Dragon through fractions of :27, :56 and 1:23.4. Tetrick got a clear shot at Henry The Dragon in the late stages of the mile, and the pocket sitter’s closing speed of :27 earned him the win by 1-1/2 lengths over Henry The Dragon in a stakes record clocking of 1:51.1. James Isaac was a well-beaten third.

Trainer Jason Skinner co-owns the two-year-old son of Roddys Bags Again-Paint The Sky Blue with Only Money Inc of Hartly, DE. The win improved the rookie’s record to 4-2-1 from eight starts while his bankroll climbed to $86,862.

In the $20,000 DSBF Consolation, Wake Up And Go scored in 1:54 for driver Corey Callahan.

Using come-from-behind tactics, Wake Up And Go rallied by Rat Tail (Montrell Teague) and prevailed by a half-length margin over that foe. Third prize went to Suspinder.

It was a maiden-breaking triumph for the son of Roddys Bags Again-Ima Early Riser who races for Charles Wimbrow and James Lunn, Jr. Robert White trains the career winner of $49,504.
