Harrington, DE---Round two of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) action for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings was contested Tuesday (Oct. 14) at Harrington Raceway with 27 horses competing in four $20,000 elimination divisions.

The fastest winner was Scott Woogen’s K J Ben ($2.10, Art Stafford Jr.) who was a wire-to-wire winner over Seboomook Katahdin in 1:55. The Riggins-Winsmith Karen colt completed a sweep of his eliminations and improved to 4-for-5 in his career for trainer Duane Wagner.

Second-time starter Remember Me VK ($3.80, Montrell Teague) was an impressive 1:55.4 winner over Smoking Joey. The Art Director-All Memory gelding received a pocket trip behind Smoking Joey throughout and edged clear of the latter down the passing lane at the finish. Trained by Bob Wyatt, Remember Me VK now has a win and a second on his card in as many starts.

Michael White’s Sonofa Sizzle ($2.10, Allan Davis) swept his eliminations after winning his division in 1:55.2 for trainer Gary Green. The son of Life Sizzles-JK Lady Like, burst on the Delaware scene with a win last week in 1:54.2, after competing in New York in four previous attempts.

Art Season ($2.20, Allan Davis) won the remaining division for owners Legacy Racing of Delaware, Sharon White, and Nanticoke Racing Stable in 1:56.1. The Artzina-Florist gelding was forced in the two hole early by a fired up NBA Pick who set a hot pace before fading. Art Season applied pressure past the half-mile and edged clear before opening up a four-length lead over Rustlercafe at the wire. Art Season is trained by Wayne Givens.

In the overnight feature, Bob Winkelman’s Paradise Lost ($4.60, Corey Callahan) recorded her fourth consecutive win in the $18,000 Mares Open in 1:53.4.

Teague, Allan Davis and Victor Kirby each drove three winners. Ross Wolfenden had a driving double.

The top eight point-getters from the first two legs will return for the $100,000 final on Tuesday October 21.
