The young lass carved out panels of :31, 1:00.3 and 1:30.2 before roaring home in :27.2 to produce the win for owner Tom Hill of Lancashire, England. The $23,000 purchase from last year’s Canadian Yearling Sale is the first foal from the mare St Lads Hailaroo (1:52.2 - $220,589).

Trainer Jack Darling watched Shadow Play-Fit N Fancy filly Amazing Control wire up her foes for driver Jody Jamieson en route to a 1:57.4 score in her qualifier. The pacing lass tore through fractions of :29.4, 1:00.1 and 1:29.2 before sprinting home in :28.2 for the win.
