Love Ignites trotted home for his fourth straight win Wednesday (February 25) in Northfield Park’s ninth race.  The five year-old gelding is owned by Mitchell Walker of Davison, Michigan and locally trained by Don Pfister.  Ronnie Wrenn Jr. was aboard for the winning drive.    

       

Love Ignites started from post six and led at every call through fractions of :29, :58.4, 1:28.2 and 1:59.  The mile time equaled the trotter’s lifetime mark.  Love Ignites posted a dominant 5 ½-length margin of victory over his closest competitor, Belle’s Becky (David Lake).   

       

Wednesday’s triumph was the ninth career success for Love Ignites (Sand Vic-Mon Amour Hall-Striking Sahbra) and increased his lifetime earnings to $21,623.  He was the race favorite and returned $4.40 to win.
