Lilywhites wins Saratoga feature

Saratoga Springs, NY -- Lillywhites made her local debut a winning one on Sunday afternoon at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. Sara Kimelman owns and trains the 6-year-old gray mare who drew the rail and went right down the road to win the fillies and mares open on the matinee card.

Mike Kimelman sat behind the daughter of Artiscape as she took on a host of rivals through three quarters of 1:25.1 before drawing clear in the stretch to win in 1:54.4. The favorite Shacked Up (Dan Cappello Jr.) was late on the scene for second while Dandy Di (Chris Lems) got up for third. Lillywhites, who returned $11.00 to win in the $16,000 ladies feature, gave her connections a double as team Kimelman also had the winner of the afternoon’s eighth race with veteran My Miss Bliss.

Live racing resumes on Wednesday night at Saratoga with post time set for 7:05pm.
