Northfield, OH --- The $150,000 Jay Auto Group Cleveland Classic, Northfield Park’s richest stakes event, is scheduled for this Saturday (Dec. 10.)

The 22nd edition of the Classic is the last national stakes event of the year for 3-year-old pacers. The Classic draws an impressive slate of equine athletes as well as North America’s top drivers. Entries are due by 9 a.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 7).

This year’s Cleveland Classic probables include Audreys Dream, Mystic Desire, Something For Doc and Southwind Milo. There are other contenders that are still considering entering the prestigious race, and horses can supplement their way into the field.

Canadian invader Audreys Dream, is expected to enter the Classic off of back-to-back wins at Woodbine. The son of Rocknroll Hanover did not start as a 2-year-old but has garnered six victories this season and amassed $53,527. Trained by Benjamin Wallace, Audreys Dream has a career best of 1:50 for owner Bradley Grant.

Mystic Desire, a son of Real Desire, has lifetime earnings of $607,924 and a lifetime mark of 1:50. The Ross Croghan trainee just finished second in the $175,000 Windy City at Maywood Park. He has 12 lifetime wins for the partnership of Let It Ride Stables, Robert Cooper Stables, Jerry Silva and Dana Parham.

Brian Brown trains Something For Doc for Ohio owners Country Club Acres, Inc., William Johnson and Strollin Stables. He is a son of Western Hanover and competed in this year’s Little Brown Jug. He has five lifetime victories, the fastest in 1:51.2, and has earned $234,424.

Southwind Milo has career earnings of $111,475 and a lifetime mark of 1:51.4. This son of Artiscape has five career wins and is trained by Ron Burke. He is owned by the partnership of Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, JJK Stables and WW Haas, Jr. He started in New York Sires Stakes this year and has been primarily racing in overnights in Pennsylvania.
