g>Pace, Hambo Eligibles Step Out At Big M Qualifiers



Roll With Joe, a full brother to Bettor’s Delight and a half-brother to No Pan Intended topped the Meadowlands qualifiers on Thursday, May 19, with a sparkling 1:51.1 win. With Brian Sears in the bike for trainer Ed Hart, the Cam’s Card Shark 3 year old, was ahead at every pole and rolled on to win by 10-3/4 lengths. Roll With Joe is eligible to the Meadowlands Pace and the North America Cup.



Lucky Jim, slated to make his qualifying debut with trotting hobbles in the second race, was scratched. Seducedbychocolate, who won the Kindergarten at Vernon last year, won her qualifier by a length in 1:56.1. The sophomore daughter of Chocolatier is trained by Jonas Czernyson and was driven by Dave Miller.



Big Rigs, who won a division of last year’s Bluegrass at The Red Mile, also won his qualifier, using a :26.4 last quarter to complete a mile in 1:59.1. The Hambo eligible colt is trained by Kelly O’Donnell and was driven by Tim Tetrick. Another Hambo eligible colt, Leader Of The Gang, was second. The highly anticipated debut of yet another Hambo eligible, Manofmanymissions ,went awry when that colt made a break.
