As a two-year-old, CR Commando won seven consecutive races, including the Group 3 NZ Trotting Stakes by three lengths, before finishing second by a nose in the Group 2 NZ Sires’ Stakes 2YO Trotters Championship despite breaking at the start. The Fiery Ginga also finished second in NZ’s biggest juvenile trotting race, the Group 2 $100,000 Harness Jewels 2YO Ruby, trotting the mile in 1:59.8. He was also named NZ’s 2YO Colt or Gelding Trotter of the Year.
This season, against the older horses to date, The Fiery Ginga has won two of his three starts, placing in the other.
