>The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) events have resumed at Harrington Raceway.


Action focuses on two-year-old $20,000 elimination rounds that resumed on Sunday, Nov. 11 with a pair of Winbak Farm-bred fillies chalking up triumphs in first leg trots.


As has been customary, progeny of trotter CR Commando and dominant pacing stallion Badlands Hanover were prominent.


On Monday, the pacing divisions moved into spotlight.


On Sunday, a Political Briefing-Minute Rice filly, Minute Briefing, went right to the front on the way to an easy 3-length victory in 2:04.3 to win the first two-year old filly trot. Trained by Tabitha Teresczuk for Glenn Wenzel and Dan Mock, the Winbak Farm bred youngster won for the first time in three lifetime starts. What Would You Do CR Commando piloted by Art Stafford, Jr., finished second in front of Political Jewell (Political Briefing) and Jim Morand.


Then Emily Do, a daughter of CR Commando-Emilys Program, won the second filly trot elim with Victor Kirby driving for Lloyd Arnold and trainer John Wagner. The filly scored a three-quarter-length victory in 2:03.1. It was the fourth win in five races for Emily Do, now a winner of $27,225. Two other daughters of CR Commando, Chocolate N Roses, with Mike Merton driving finished second while My Command To You, driven by Jim Morand took third.


The $20,000 DSBF Colt Trot divisions were won by Ymi Special with trainer-driver Les Givens in 2:05.4 in the first elimination for two-year old trotting colts and geldings with Airborne Commando (CR Commando) and Rod Allen second and Par Done My Putt teamed with Windy Donaway in 2:05.1. Nitro Commando (Rod Allen) finished second.


Oct. 12 was pacing day with six $20,000 DSBF first leg divisions for two-year-old pacers. George Teague trained a triple, winning one colt and three filly sections.


Badlands Hanover had a big day in the pacing divisions. Delmarvalous stepped out the Grand Circuit ranks to win the fastest division. Owned by Elmer Fannin, Harold Dorfman, Badlands Racing and George Teague Inc. Delmarvalous (Badlands Hanover-Prymetyme Scootie) won the fastest section as Corey Callahan drove the George Teague trained freshman to a 1:55.1 victory, his fourth in seven career outings. Delmarvalous overtook pacesetter Amazing Quest (Badlands Hanover) in deep stretch for the win. A Powerful Toy colt, Lucky Power (George Dennis) finished third. 


The remaining colt division wins were posted by a pair of longshots, 12-1 shot Cool Runnings and Enee Weenie And Me, at 14-1. Cool Running steered by Eddie Davis Jr. for trainer Janet Davis and owners Julianne Watkins and J&E Stable scored in 1:58.2. The Three Olives distaff was followed by Extended Forecast, also by Three Olives.


The other section was won by Enee Weenie And Me (owned by Joann Looney-King with trainer-driver Jim King guiding the 1:56.3 upset winner.


Among filly winners were Teague-trained fillies Model Legs, piloted by Corey Callahan in 1:55.1, and Naughty Indeed owned by Dennis Polimeni and VIP Stable with Jim Morand in the bike for a 1:58.1 win. Model Legs is by Badlands Hanover-Modellaag. New Manhattan (Badlands Hanover) was second for Jim Morand. A Shotgun Scot lass Winbak Patty (George Dennis) took third money.


Another filly divisions went to Ben Stafford and Ben Stafford Jr.'s Top Land, driven by George Dennis for trainer Ben Stafford. The Badlands Hanover-Top Of The World filly won by 5-¾ lengths. Touch The Clouds (Three Olives) finished second for Corey Callahan while Badlands Kate (Badlands Hanover) was third for Ross Wolfenden.


The second leg of DSBF action for pacers is set for Monday, Oct. 19, with the $100,000 finals for both gaits on Oct. 26.
