Tom's Toy, a Powerful Toy-Glowing Hans bay filly, the DSBF two-year-old winner of the $100,000 final, breezed to a 1:55 victory in the first $20,000 three-year-old filly pace division. A Badlands Hanover filly, Go Jackie Jo driven by Vince Copeland sat second for the entire route.

Rusty's Joy, a Badlands Hanover filly, led the rest of the mile until the final steps when Little Bit Tricky finally caught the leader after a stretch-long duel to the wire in 1:55.3. CJ's Crystal (Roger Plante), sired by Powerful Toy, picked up third money. Jim and Bill Outten and Green Racing own the Badlands Hanover-Bit Of Trick sophomore.

The second prelim leg is set for Sunday, March 29. The top eight finishers after the two weeks of prelims race in the $100,000 DSBF Final on Monday, Aug. 6.
