On September 13th, Winbak Farm will be selling 3 pacing yearlings in the Ohio Selected Jug Sale. These yearlings will be selling as part of the Spring Haven Farm consignment. 

 

Winbak Farm yearlings selling include two colts sired by Catch The Fire and a colt sired by Fear The Dragon.

#154, Matthew’s Star, is a Catch The Fire half-brother to Twinkle, p, 1:51.3 ($354,278). She is the dam of 2023 Breeders Crown Winner, Gem Quality, p, 2, 1:50s -'23 ($571,966). His dam is a half-sister to Betterthancheddar, p, 1:48f ($1,635,364), and Courtly Choice, p, 3, 1:47.1 ($1,345,754). She is also a half-sister to the dam of Bulldog Hanover, p, 1:45.4 ($2,414,647).

 

#165, Fear The Ocean, is a Fear The Dragon half-brother to Beach Blanket Book, p, 3, 1:50s ($343,062), and Solar Surprise, p, 1:50.2f ($184,068). His dam, Beach Bonnet, p, 1:51.1s ($121,536), is a half-sister to Geez Joe, p, 1:47.4s ($387,832). His dam is also a half-sister to the dam of Southwind Gendry, p, 1:47.2f -’23 ($1,237,054). His second dam is Beach Bretta, p, 3, 1:52.2 ($251,960). 

 

#257, Haleakala, is a Catch The Fire half-brother to Game Of Change, p, 1:51.2 ($172,563). His second dam is Hawaiian Jenna, p, 2, 1:53.2 ($254,186). His dam is a half-sister to Hana Hanover, p, 1:48.4 ($1,207,625).

 

Catch The Fire’s first crop is now 2 and includes 2024 Ohio Sire Stakes Winner, Prolific Fire, p, 2, Q1:55.2s ($72,175), and 2024 Ohio Sire Stakes Winner, My First Fire, p, 2, 1:53.2f -’24 ($66,500). Fear The Dragon, a proven sire in Ohio, is the sire of 2024 Ohio State Fair Winner, Queen Of Fear, p, 2, 1:52.3f -’24 ($101,300).
