Saratoga Springs, NY — After securing two wins and two second-place finishes with his young horses on Monday, trainer-driver Dan Daley brought just one horse to Saratoga Casino Hotel to compete on Tuesday (June 22): 2-year-old pacer Blue Collar Man, who made his lifetime debut a winning one, proving nothing short of sensational in a 1:55.1 score as the 7-5 joint favorite.

Blue Collar Man powered out to the front-end at the start and opened up a big lead in the early stages of his debut. The son of Bolt The Duer and Celebrate America clicked off first-half fractions of :29 and :59.1 before extending his lead to an insurmountable margin and beating co-favorite Gussy’s Trump Card (Larry Stalbaum) by 9-1/4 lengths. Jovian (Steve Genois) earned the show spot.

Live racing at Saratoga continues on Wednesday afternoon (June 23) with first post time set for 12 noon.
