Amy Carter

Stallion Administrator

Email: amy.carter@winbakfarm.com

Employed with Winbak Farm since 2012

Amy is from the local area having grown up right around the corner from the Winbak of Maryland farm office. Growing up on Thoroughbred farms, her love of horses started long before she can remember and she has always owned at least one horse of her own. In 2008, Amy earned her Bachelors of Science degree in equine studies concentrating in equine business management, at Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey. From college she moved to western Maryland where she took the time to further enhance her professional horse training skills as the assistant trainer at Advantage Horsemanship with Scott Purdum.

In her off time from Winbak, Amy teaches riding lessons to a handful of students at a small farm where she manages the care of the mixed herd of horses, including five of her own, and resides. Amy also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, taking her students to horse shows or a variety of other equestrian venues, riding any of her personal horses for fun, traveling, volunteering or supporting non-profits, and giving her other animals attention- a cat named Squirt and a dog named Blue.
